Our existence relies on our members. Together, we are stronger and our voice becomes even more stronger when we gain a new member. It is about maintaining a connection to new and existing members who self-identify as First Nation, Metis and Inuit peoples, communities and corporate entities who share the same passion for our vision, mission and values.

Any individual, Indigenous-led-entities, or community partner residing in Alberta can apply to be a member. We offer three types of memberships:

An individual is defined as a Status and/or non-Status First Nation, unaffiliated Metis, and/or Inuit person residing in urban and/or rural communities in Alberta. An individual will be allowed one (1) vote at the Annual General Assembly (AGA).

Indigenous-led entities (non-profit, cooperative, small business, and corporations) are eligible to apply for membership. Will be allowed one (1) vote per entity at the AGA.

Community partners who have expressed interest in the work of ACAA are also eligible to apply for membership, yet do not have voting rights.

Membership benefits include:

  • access to newsletter subscription for the latest tools and resources;

  • discounted workshops and networking;

  • advocacy support in navigating different policy or government processes; and

  • volunteer opportunities.
